Privacy policy
Effective [Effective date]
The short version: your Talx account stores your email, username, avatar, boost count and an anonymous hashed ID of your PC. That's it. No ads, and we never sell your data.
Who we are
Talx is made by [Company name], [Company address] ("we", "us"). If you have any question about this policy, email contact@example.com.
What we collect
When you create a Talx account, we store:
- Email address: to identify your account and contact you about it.
- Username and avatar: shown in the app. If you sign in with Google, Apple or Discord, we receive these from that service.
- Boost count: how many times you've used Boost, so we can show it to you and apply plan limits.
- An anonymous hashed ID of your PC: a one-way fingerprint, not your PC's name or serial number. It stops free limits from being abused with throwaway accounts.
- [Subscription details: add what you store about Premium payments once billing is set up, and name your payment processor.]
What we don't collect
- We don't upload your files, your list of programs, or the changes Talx makes. The change log, cleaned files and restore points stay on your PC.
- We don't read game data or track what you play online.
- We don't show ads, and we don't sell or rent your data to anyone.
How we use it
Only to run Talx: to sign you in, show your boost count and Premium status, apply the limits of the Free plan, prevent abuse, and answer you when you contact us.
Sign-in providers
You can sign in with Google, Apple, Discord or email. When you use one of those services, it shares your email, name or username, and avatar with us. Their own privacy policies apply to what happens on their side.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to host your account data, under contracts that only let them use it to provide their service to us: [List providers, e.g. authentication and database hosting, payment processor]. We may also disclose data if the law requires it.
This website
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or third-party trackers, and everything on it, fonts included, is served from our own host. [Update this if you add analytics, and name your hosting provider.]
How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your data within [X days], except where we must keep something by law.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct, export or delete your data at any time by emailing contact@example.com. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have further rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Talx isn't meant for children under [13 / 16, depending on the country]. If you think a child has given us their data, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email first.
